FrontRunner Double Track, $1 Billion, Utah Transit Authority (Salt Lake City, UT)
Pioneering Progressive Design Build
- Serving as Project Director
- Responsible for delivering 20 miles of UTA’s FrontRunner commuter rail double track section. The project is part of an initiative to roughly double the amount of double track in the rail system, allowing for more frequent trains and more reliable service.
- This project is a shared project between UTA and UDOT where UDOT builds the project with UTA oversight and eventual operations, underscoring our ability to coordinate between transportation agencies.
- Progressive Design Build project delivery allows for innovative construction methods to limit impacts to FrontRunner service while building track adjacent to and between Active FrontRunner and Union Pacific tracks.
